Next week and the following week the roadway contractor will continue working on installing curb and gutter, and pavement. The underground crew will also be working on storm sewer for the next three weeks.  The electrical subcontractor is scheduled to continue installing concrete foundations and electrical conduit for the new traffic signals.
Contractor's typical working hours are 7 AM to 3:30 PM and all of the construction activities will be contained within the traffic lane closure areas.

Contractor's typical working hours are 7 AM to 3:30 PM and all of the construction activities will be contained within the traffic lane closure areas.  On Friday, May 23 we will stop all the activities at 3 PM for the holiday weekend and will not resume work until Tuesday, May 27.

On May 8, 2014 a new traffic pattern went into effect and this traffic pattern will remain for several months. Contractor's typical working hours are 7 AM to 3:30 PM and all of the construction activities will be contained within the traffic lane closure areas. During the next two weeks the roadway contractor will be removing existing sidewalk, curb and gutter, and pavement. The underground contractor is scheduled to begin installing new drainage structures. Additionally, the electrical contractor will continue installation of temporary traffic signals and removal of the existing traffic signal system.

Starting Wednesday, May 7, between 10 a.m. and noon the new traffic pattern will be in use to begin the road work. Per plan for stage 1, the outside lane (right lane) on each leg of the intersection will be closed and this closure will be long term. During this stage of construction two lanes for through traffic and one left lane will be maintained in each direction on Golf Rd. and one lane for through traffic and one left lane will be maintained in each direction on Waukegan Rd.
